Reader Confession Tag

I am finally doing a Tag!! I am new to this tag thing so if I messed something up and tagged someone wrong I apologize ahead of time. lol.

So let’s begin with Reader Confession Tag. I was tagged by Priyasha so show her some love!!!

Have you ever damaged a book?

I have three kids and they love to jump on me while I’m reading so for sure lots of my books have had spills and what not on them:(

Have you ever damaged a borrowed book?

I don’t borrow many books so haven’t had this issue!!! Thank heavens I would feel horrible and buy them another one!

How long does it take you to read a book?

It depends on the length of the book, but usually finish a book every day or two!

Books that you haven’t finished?

I didn’t finish Gone Girl. Everyone loved it but at the time I read it I couldn’t get into it! But most of the time I usually finish all the books I start!

Hyped/ Popular books you didn’t like?

             41cSJI7PfHL._SX302_BO1,204,203,200_

This book was over hyped and I felt like this book dragged it was hard for me to concentrate!

   Twilight_(2008_film)_poster

I know this is a popular one too but at the time I could not get into it and everyone was raving about it.

Is there a book you wouldn’t tell anyone you were reading?

Hm, I don’t think I have a book I was ashamed of reading!

How many books do you own?

I honestly think I wouldn’t be able to count! LMAO. I have hundreds of paper books and 1,000 ebooks!

Are you a fast reader or a slow reader?

I think I’m kind of a slow reader at times because I have mild dyslexia but to some people I read fast.

Do you like to buddy read?

Buddy-reading sounds of fun but I never tried it unfortunately 😦

Do you read better in your head or out loud?

Now that one’s obvious…In my head.

If you were only allowed to own one book, what would it be and why?

I agree this is a hard and crazy question! I have different books for different moods. I guess I will have to go with The Secret, Book and Scone Society by Ellery Adams. I read it recently and it was just what the doctor ordered and made me proud to be a book lover.

  1. I never quite find the time to get around to doing tags so you’re doing better than I do. LOL

I will say though I never bothered with Gone Girl either…. by the time they are that hyped I usually end up disappointed so never bothered although I did like Twilight.

  2. If I actually get reading time I can plow through in a couple hours.
I can’t really think of any hyped up books. Well, I guess there is Twilight (which I’ve never read) or Fifty Shades (which I’ve never read)

I don’t know if I can really say I didn’t like them since I didn’t read them LOL

  4. I did not enjoy 50 Shades at all. My TBR is so long that I’ve usually forgotten about the hype by the time I get to it!
My kids are always damaging Library books, but they do it when they are reading mostly.
It takes me about a week to read a book unless it’s more than 500 pages. This is probably because of the kids again.
Thank you for following my book blog!

    • I hear you about the kids hun!!! I have to multi task a lot with them!!! My kids are notorious for messing up their library books. Sigh. So I try to buy them books at library sales so I can get them at 25 cents a pop! And you’re welcome about following your blog you can return the favor and share the love if you wants to!😉 #bookmommiesunite

  5. Aww Dani! Thanks for the tag! I have to be honest and say I’m waaayy behind in tags, but I will definitely bookmark this. As for your questions:

    1. How long does it take me to read a book? It varies. If I love a book, no matter the length, I tend to breeze through them in 1-3 sittings. If it’s a book I’m struggling to get through, it can take me a week.

    2. A hyped book I didn’t like? Fifty Shades of Gray. I didn’t just not like it. I hated, loathed and despised it. I swear the only thing that kept me from throwing it in the trash was that it was a library copy. If you ever feel like looking it up, I wrote a review of it a couple of years ago when the first movie came out. *Shudder*

  6. Great answers! I think you’re definitely a fast reader to me because you could read a book within a day or two, haha. I haven’t done that for a while and usually spend about three to five days to finish one. 😛 I also agree with you about Twilight. I DID NOT LIKE THAT SERIES AT ALL and thus didn’t get the hype everyone obviously was talking about. 🙂 Anyway, nice to meet you, Dani! ^^

  7. Thank you so much for tagging me! And I loved reading your answers to these questions! I’ve never read Gone Girl but I know that a lot of people think it’s overhyped! And I used to be OBSESSED with Twilight back in the days, but I would never pick it up now—only as a guilty pleasure read maybe XD Great post!

  8. Hello There, I like this! I never tried tagging before, but I think you did a great job! My favorite book is “The Bridges of Madison County” It took so many (and, I mean many years to watch the movie thereafter). I adored it so much, I ended up buying it, and have it packed away for those days where I need a good cry. (Silly, I know).
