I want to give a huge thank you to E. Michael Helms for providing me with a copy of Deadly Spirits in exchange for an honest review! Michael is an amazing author and such a kind southern gentleman! You can find his blog at https://emichaelhelms.wordpress.com
Synopsis: PI Mac McClellan is dragged to a Palmetto Paranormal Society outing by his girlfriend Kate. Mac is sarcastic and completely a skeptic when it comes to said “ghosts” but will do anything for Kate. The society members split up to investigate an old hotel but are shocked when the society president is found with his neck broken and dead.
Suspciously, nobody heard the president fall to his death. The president’s current girlfriend is found next to his body screaming! After the police process the scene they rule the death as an accident.
When Mac is told about the accidental ruling, it does not sit well with him. If the man fell down the stairs by accident wouldn’t they hear him tumbling down the stairs? Suddenly, the president’s girlfriend is found dead and it is ruled as a suicide.
The two deaths both occurred at Palmetto Paranormal Society outings! Mac doesn’t believe for a second this is a coincidence and takes matters in his own hands. Mac’s veteran gut instinct puts him on the investigation but death and murder attempts are full blown in this southern town. Will Mac be able to figure out whodunit and save his own ass in the process? Read Deadly Spirits by E. Michael Helms to find out!
Review: Wow!!! This book was fantastic and I give it without hesitation 5 out 5 mysterious stars! I had to put this book off for a little bit because I got sick but started reading it last night. I stayed up all night turning pages to this fun mystery until I finished but it was worth the sleepless night! This book made me smile, laugh, gave me the jeepers creepers and warmed my heart. Mac’s character is fantastic! He is the epitome of a southern gentleman.
Mac has his faults but he is such a good hearted southern man. I also thoroughly enjoyed his sense of humor and his love for Kate. I agree with many women in this book that Kate is a lucky woman! I also enjoyed Kate’s compassionate spirit. Dakota was also a fantastic character with her rugged past but a custom personality fitted with mouth of a sailor. I loved the characterization in Deadly Spirits.
I loved how this book had me turning pages and at the edge of my seat with suspense. This was the perfect novel for the Halloween season. Even though Deadly Spirits is Book 4 in the series, you can definitely read this book as a standalone basis. This book gives you just the right amount of details about the character’s past so you don’t feel like your missing something.
I will definitely not be reading Deadly Spirits as a standalone. I can’t wait until I get the chance to devour the rest of this series! I loved your writing Mr. Helms and Mac’s southern chivalrous personality! I will follow you anywhere!😊📚❤

Hello there, Loves! Dani is the name and reviewing and blogging 4 books is game!📚 I am also a free-spirited woman! Some may call me a gypsy or a hippie but that is all good and gravy because I am just customarily me! I am a Tarot & Oracle Reader and a very strong passion for it. I am a progressive Christian that believes fully in my higher self. I have had Medium, Astroplaning, and Empath abilities my whole life but I am finally putting them to good use within recent years. I love helping people and I'm very open-minded. I also will review Oracle & Tarot Cards and books on my blog as well. If any of this bothers you, I'm sorry but it is who I am. I just ask on my page for everyone to give equal respect! I am a complete bibliophile and have a TBR that will outlive me.🌠 I have a fierce passion for the blogosphere because I love sharing my love of reading 📚 and the incredible/amazing and badass people I have met here! I fell in love with reading due to being institutionalised as a child. I have mild dyslexia and battled some huge physical and mental wars as a young child. In the places I was "placed" there wasn't a school more like a daycare and as a child who wanted to be so much more one day, I used books to learn. I treasured every dictionary, textbook and novel I could get my hands on. By the time I was a mid teen, my self taught book education gave me the ability to test above college level and gave me hope.🎸🌠 Since I have become disabled and have lost my ability to spread my social butterfly wings, I in return lost friendships due to my inability to leave home so that left my books. Books opened more doors because it opened me to all of you and now I have the best of friends that the world could offer from the comfort of home. All that mess with being disabled doesnt matter because I have my 3 amazing kids, amazing friends and acquaintances in the World of Blog, and my blog and books give me the super powers to be a badass book blogger! I love people and getting to know people! All that I ask is that anyone on my page treats everyone with equal respect! I am completely open-minded and all about free love. I'm also a very accepting person and I find the beauty in our differences so never feel ashamed to be yourself on this site! 💜💙 Thanks for stopping by Touch My Spine Book Reviews!📚💖💜 I hope your day is full of awesomeness! Namaste! Xoxoxo! Dani💖😜🤘
