I want to thank NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review. I appreciate this opportunity! I am catching up on reviews and working on my layout and thought it would be wise to group some together on one post. Bare with me I am new to all this customizable stuff! Lol. These three reviews are for three seperate bookish cozies. Cozy mysteries are perfect for this time of year and a great way to relieve the holiday blues. I hope you guys enjoy my reviews and have a fantastic day!

I give “A Murder for the Books”5 out of 5 Cozy Stars! I loved this fun and bookish cozy mystery! I am always drawn to books that are book related in some way and it makes me feel proud to be a bibliophile. This book intrigued me from the very first line, “Anyone who claims there are no stupid questions has never worked in a library.” I could relate to this sentence because I am a member of my local Friends of the Library Association and so I do volunteer work at the library, book sales and etc. I also volunteer at a small local bookstore when my body is able and receive new books as payment! Which is awesome! I have been asked some crazy questions to say the least. I loved the characters in this book and thought they were well written. At one point, I thought the book was a bit slow but the surprising twists and everything else made up for it resulting in my 5 star rating. I also loved how descriptive this book was with the historic town!😁 I definitely recommend this cozy!💖📚

Death by a Whisker by T.C. LoTempio

Getting used to life back home in Deer Park, North Carolina, Sydney McCall and her right-hand tabby, Toby, are helping her sister Kat run the local animal shelter. Syd and Kat are all excited about the prospect of the shelter’s newest fundraiser: shopping channel queen Ulla Townsend. Shelter admin Maggie Shayne vehemently refuses to have anything to do with the woman, but the fundraiser ensues as planned. That is, until Ulla turns up dead in the middle of the event. The cause of death is determined to be an allergic reaction, but Syd and Toby are sniffing out something fishy. When Syd met Ulla, it was clear she was distasteful and rude. Review: I give this book 4 out of 5 Cozy Kitty Stars! This was a highly enjoyable cozy mystery. I loved how this book was perfect if you are an animal/cat lover. Meow! I have 5 feline friends, 1 canine friend and 2 turtles. So you can definitely say I am an animal enthusiast/crazy cat lady! This book also had some bookish elements that made me oh so happy! The story was well written and was entertaining. The only issue issue I had was that this was second in the series and I have made the mistake of choosing a few books off NetGalley that were part of a series that I haven’t read so the characters were missing a little depth. This is my fault for not paying close enough attention but overall, I highly recommend this book!😄📚

Scones and Scoundrels by Molly MacRae

Review: I give this book 3 out of 5 Cozy Stars! I liked this book, overall. Just like the two previous cozies, this book had a lot to do with bookish things. I really enjoyed the setting and the mystery of the story but the main character just didn’t sit well with me. Rude people just make me a bit uncomfortable. Also it was a bit hard to catch up with all the characters. The book was well written so I look forward to checking out the author’s other books.

  3. Wow this new layout of yours looks really cool. Seriously I’m already happy that I found out how to add pictures lol 😂😂 Seriously though, it looks truly amazing ! The reviews were as usual, very good as well. My oh my, you have really read a lot 😊😊 The second book, Death By a Whisker really sounds amazing! 😀

    • Thanks for sharing that with me Pete! That book looks quite interesting! I read one last night that was a horror/psychological thriller and OMG! I was freaked out so couldn’t sleep but kept wanting to read more. I like cozies but I also like all other type of books so I am always down for a recommendation!😁🤓📚

          • It is a book about a serial killer and the detective hunting him. One chapter about the killer, the other about the detective. It does contain some descriptions of stalking, and murder, but overall it is just a very well written dark thriller. If you think it might worry you though, best avoid it. I wasn’t thinking about your past when I recommended it, sorry. 🙂 🙂 x

    • Oh and I guess I like cozy at times because my reading depends on my mood. I have PTSD really bad and some bad mental health issues and just have to be mindful of what to read and when but that’s just me. I guess I am a mood reader, it all depends on my mood. I love all genres of fiction and even some non fiction so my spectrum is really broad.😉🤗😄
