Hey guys! Thanks so much for checking out my post! I also want to say a huge thank you (with lots of LOVE) to my faithful followers whom read and give their honest opinions on all my posts! I am so excited that Touch My Spine Book Reviews turned out to be a great sucess and couldn’t do it without you all! 🤗😘
So enough of my rambling, I have been stuck in bed the last month and the great thing about this is I have read so many books! I actually just got out of the hospital last night and found out some of the causes of my unbearable pain. I have diverticulitis, intestinal bleeding, a messed up nerve in my back and other crappy crap so will be stuck on best rest longer. Luckily, now that we know a lot I can get better with certain treatments. *crossing my fingers* But on the bright side, more and more BOOKS! But well, the bad thing is I am a bit behind on my reviews.😱😱😱*Gasps* So I will try and catch up! All of the 5 thrillers that I will briefly be discussing with you lovely people were top notch! These books had me a bit creeped out and the hair standing up on my neck because of how chilling they were at times!😨😨 Overall though, they have made bed rest AWESOME and a great experience! Woot! I hope you enjoy my reviews and I will be sending love(spamming up) all of your pages soon with my special Dani-Love! Happy Reading!📚😍💖😘🤗
I want to thank NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review. I appreciate this opportunity and all views and opinions expressed are my own.
Title: Unsub
Author: Meg Gardiner
Rating: 5 Stars
View or Buy: Amazon / Goodreads
Synopsis:
A riveting psychological thriller inspired by the never-caught Zodiac Killer, about a young detective determined to apprehend the serial murderer who destroyed her family and terrorized a city twenty years earlier.
Caitlin Hendrix has been a Narcotics detective for six months when the killer at the heart of all her childhood nightmares reemerges: the Prophet. An UNSUB—what the FBI calls an unknown subject—the Prophet terrorized the Bay Area in the 1990s and nearly destroyed her father, the lead investigator on the case.
The Prophet’s cryptic messages and mind games drove Detective Mack Hendrix to the brink of madness, and Mack’s failure to solve the series of ritualized murders—eleven seemingly unconnected victims left with the ancient sign for Mercury etched into their flesh—was the final nail in the coffin for a once promising career.
Twenty years later, two bodies are found bearing the haunting signature of the Prophet. Caitlin Hendrix has never escaped the shadow of her father’s failure to protect their city. But now the ruthless madman is killing again and has set his sights on her, threatening to undermine the fragile barrier she rigidly maintains for her own protection, between relentless pursuit and dangerous obsession.
Determined to decipher his twisted messages and stop the carnage, Caitlin ignores her father’s warnings as she draws closer to the killer with each new gruesome murder. Is it a copycat, or can this really be the same Prophet who haunted her childhood? Will Caitlin avoid repeating her father’s mistakes and redeem her family name, or will chasing the Prophet drag her and everyone she loves into the depths of the abyss?
Review: I absolutely loved this book!😍 This enthralling thriller had me on the edge of my seat with all the page turning suspense it brought me! I loved the plot and how things were descriptive yet kept that interesting fast pace, we all know and love. I loved Caitlin’s character and thought she was a great choice for main character. I admired her strength and how she handled things through all the chaos. I am so looking forward to the sequel to this masterpiece and don’t think I could read it soon enough! This book is highly recommended!
Title: The Girlfriend
Author: Michelle Frances
Rating: 5 Stars
View or Buy: Amazon / Goodreads
Synopsis: The addictive Number One bestselling thriller, perfect for fans of Into the Water.
A girl. A boy. His mother. And the lie she’ll wish she’d never told.
The Girlfriend by Michelle Frances is a gripping and chilling debut psychological thriller, based on the fall-out following an unforgiveable lie. It looks at the potentially charged relationship between girlfriend, boyfriend and his mother, which most women can identify with, and locates it in an extreme but believable setting.
Laura has it all. A successful career, a long marriage to a rich husband, and a twenty-three year-old son, Daniel, who is kind, handsome, and talented. Then Daniel meets Cherry. Cherry is young, beautiful and smart but she hasn’t had the same opportunities as Daniel. And she wants Laura’s life.
Cherry comes to the family wide-eyed and wants to be welcomed with open arms, but Laura suspects she’s not all that she seems.
When tragedy strikes, an unforgiveable lie is told. It is an act of desperation, but the fall-out will change their lives forever.
Review: This book was fantastic with great characters! I loved how this book kept me guessing and kept me turning pages into the middle of the night. When I thought I had things figured out, things would change again. The main characters in this book were intense especially Cherry! This book was quite chilling and the psychological thriller that I needed to keep my mind off of things! I highly recommend this book!
Title: Best Friends Forever
Author: Margot Hunt
Rating: 5 Stars
View or Buy: Amazon / Goodreads
Synopsis:How well do you really know your best friend?
Kat Grant and Alice Campbell have a friendship forged in shared confidences and long lunches lubricated by expensive wine. Though they’re very different women—the artsy socialite and the struggling suburbanite—they’re each other’s rocks. But even rocks crumble under pressure. Like when Kat’s financier husband, Howard, plunges to his death from the second-floor balcony of their South Florida mansion.
Howard was a jerk, a drunk, a bully and, police say, a murder victim. The questions begin piling up. Like why Kat has suddenly gone dark: no calls, no texts and no chance her wealthy family will let Alice see her. Why investigators are looking so hard in Alice’s direction. Who stands to get hurt next. And who is the cool liar—the masterful manipulator behind it all.
Review: Wow, this book was fantastic! I was sucked in from the very first few pages! I loved diving into Alice and Kat’s relationship and trying to figure out what was real and was all a manipulation. I can tell you there is way more than what meets the eyes with this suspenseful read and it will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat! The characters blended perfectly with the plot, making one helluva psychological thriller!

Review: What an intense book! I felt like I was on a thriller roller coaster and this novel was whipping me back and forth! The plot was pulse quickening and the characterisation was perfect! Title: All Things Bright and Strange
Author: James Markert
Rating: 4 Stars
Buy or View: Amazon / Goodreads
Synopsis:In the wake of World War I in the small, Southern town of Bellhaven, South Carolina, the town folk believe they’ve found a little slice of heaven in a mysterious chapel in the woods. But they soon realize that evil can come in the most beautiful of forms.
The people of Bellhaven have always looked to Ellsworth Newberry for guidance, but after losing his wife and his future as a professional pitcher, he is moments away from testing his mortality once and for all. Until he finally takes notice of the changes in his town . . . and the cardinals that have returned.
Upon the discovery of a small chapel deep in the Bellhaven woods, healing seems to fall upon the townspeople, bringing peace after several years of mourning. But as they visit the “healing floor” more frequently, the people begin to turn on one another, and the unusually tolerant town becomes anything but.
The cracks between the natural and supernatural begin to widen, and tensions rise. Before the town crumbles, Ellsworth must pull himself from the brink of suicide, overcome his demons, and face the truth of who he was born to be by leading the town into the woods to face the evil threatening Bellhaven.
Review: I highly enjoyed this read! Not only is it based it South Carolina and I am a South Carolinian, it was very mysterious and sinister! I loved the way the characters interacted with each other and the overall characterisation. The only thing I wish was a tad different was it was slow in the beginning. I loved the mixed elements of this story as well. The mystery was highly enjoyable, making this book a suspenseful ride I am glad I didn’t miss out on!
Are you fine now?
Your reviews are just great and truthful, we love to read more of you. Love you. Stay fit.

This is a much better selection indeed, and they all sound worth reading. The Zodiac Murders case is very interesting, and the film about it was very good too. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443706/
