After being together for ten years, Sylvie and Dan have all the trimmings of a happy life and marriage; they have a comfortable home, fulfilling jobs, beautiful twin girls, and communicate so seamlessly, they finish each other’s sentences. However, a trip to the doctor projects they will live another 68 years together and panic sets in. They never expected “until death do us part” to mean seven decades.

In the name of marriage survival, they quickly concoct a plan to keep their relationship fresh and exciting: they will create little surprises for each other so that their (extended) years together will never become boring. But in their pursuit to execute Project Surprise Me, mishaps arise and secrets are uncovered that start to threaten the very foundation of their unshakable bond. When a scandal from the past is revealed that question some important untold truths, they begin to wonder if they ever really knew each other after all.

I thoroughly enjoyed this this book!😄 Surprisinly, this is the first time I have read Sophie Kinsella’s work and I was well pleased with it! It was fun and had quirky characters that I grew to love. This story goes deeper than that and it faces what is deep behind face value and trust issues one faces. This novel was full of unexpected surprises and was truly heartfelt. I am glad that I picked up this book and finished it within a few sittings!😁📚💙💯

From Christina Phillips a sexy, new romance with a hero you won’t forget…

I’m not looking for love or a Happily-Ever-After because I know how that ends. I just need to concentrate on my degree and look after myself. But there’s something about my boss, Harry, I can’t resist. It’s crazy since he’s so hot and smart it should be illegal.
And then, just like Cinderella, I have my night at
the ball and a midnight kiss, and for a week all my sexy daydreams come true. That fake date changes my life in a way I could never imagine. It turns out, Harry wants me too.

But I’m off to pursue my dreams, and he’s taking his business to the next level. There’s no way this fairytale has a happy ending, but that doesn’t keep me from wishing for it.

This was a really cute novel that I really enjoyed. Alice and Harry were cute together but I can see where many thought this story was a bit awkward. There were moments that it was a little annoying and they went back and forth but I think overall I really enjoyed the story.

I liked that they both were awkward nerds that didn’t know how to show their love for one another. The sex scenes and other parts made me LMAO! I also thought Harry was super sweet with a lot of his adorable gestures. Overall, I found this a cute story that I was glad that I got a chance to read.

  3. Both stories sound super cute! I love that there’s two relationships here: one mature and wise, the other young and discovering itself for the first time.
I love geeks and geek love! But I also like the comfort a decades old love can bring 🙂
    Awesome reviews, Dani ❤️
