Update On Dani’s Crazy Life And What’s Been Going On, Grief…

*Possible Trigger Warning

So I have been promising a few on a update with me and my crazy life. This is going to be a bit of a hard of a thing to talk about but it’s not all bad. If any creepers are on my page just to get facts about me, heads up, being possessive and taking away every bit of my freedom and privacy is not cool. Sorry about that rant, my friends but the person whom I am referring to and others know that I am talking about them and it’s no one I met online.

Let’s start with some good news though my family has finally a stable source of income at least for the next year or so. This is a huge blessing and I couldn’t be more thankful for something coming in.❤❤❤

So to kind of put it out there for the bad news it started 6 months ago. I was not doing well mentally, physically or financially and to top that off someone burgalarized my house taking all my money for my bills and posessions that couldn’t be replaced. Then I found out my kids were sexually harassed and it was like my brain was tugging at straws to stay alive. As well as my health took a sharp turn for the worse. On top of that have someone whom you have taken care of for years tell your children you’re a terrible mom and they aren’t cared for. I mean if someone has all these problems with you and is a P.O.S. and can’t say it to your face instead they rather talk to themselves and around your children and your family about all their issues with you and poor them. Fuck that shit and I’m going to get off that because that’s not my main thing I am battling right now and don’t have time to let hypocritical Christians eat up my soul and waste anymore of my time. My love for that person is fading because if someone doesn’t want you to be happy and only cares about their feelings than that’s on them. Fuck it. *brushes shoulder off* This is really the big issue but I guess it feels good to get some of the pent up hurt out.*I started this post a week ago and have forgiven this person and know they are neurologically sick but am not forgetting but they are going to get help. This person isn’t my main issue at all but it feels like a lot to edit to remove it because what’s in the next paragraph is what stopped me from posting this post.

Now to the main thing that’s current and I have been facing is I found out I was far along 5-6 months pregnant and didn’t even have an idea how. I mean my intuition was telling me but doctors told me I couldn’t and it’s been so long since I had relations at least with any man. *Sorry for my bluntness today* But I was already feeling kicking on even the outside so when my appointment came last week I was already nervous because of the dangerous medications I was on but to wrap this up so it doesn’t trigger anyone or anything. I had a heartbreaking loss.😢 There was no heartbeat on the screen and I fell apart. I fell apart but everyone else was falling apart around me and I had to try and keep my head above water. So I guess all the sickness and how much my blogging experience declined was due to an unhealthy pregnancy full of stress. So I said goodbye to a little one that I only have seen once and never got the chance to know and it was so later on that I miss all those jabs and I miss all the fear yet excitement of something so unplanned but my intuition warned me the night before with a dream/vision so I kind of prepared myself that day before going and feeling no jabs and rolls but I don’t know if it’s possible to prepare for this grief. I have experienced a few miscarriages but this just seemed to knock the wind out of me but like they say when you TRULY are rock bottom, there is only one way to go but up.

Please accept me back as an active bloggy member as soon as I can get my head above water. I feel so bad for all my absences. Please pray or send me thoughts or vibes that I continue to push forward, that my kids stop being bullied and stay happy and healthy and that my family’s overall health improves. Four sick adults is no fun and also those prayers we can have a chance to catch up financially with all the sudden changes and expenses in life.😕 I’m sorry for this negative posts and I swear I have been doing everything in my power to change my outlook and let go of these crazy hormones. I love you all and I can’t thank you enough for all the times you have been there for me. I have hope and I will be pushing through because I loved being part of this community and miss everyone with all my heart but please know I have hope.

This song and everything behind it plays through my head all the time now and it’s so relevant in so many ways to how I feel.

Lyrics:

I’ve gotta keep the calm before the storm
I don’t want less, I don’t want more
Must bar the windows and the doors
To keep me safe, to keep me warm

Yeah, my life is what I’m fighting for
Can’t part the sea, can’t reach the shore
And my voice becomes the driving force
I won’t let this pull me overboard

God, keep my head above water
Don’t let me drown, it gets harder
I’ll meet you there at the altar
As I fall down to my knees
Don’t let me drown, drown, drown
Don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me drown

So pull me up from down below
‘Cause I’m underneath the undertow
Come dry me off and hold me close
I need you now, I need you most

God, keep my head above water
Don’t let me drown, it gets harder
I’ll meet you there at the altar
As I fall down to my knees
Don’t let me drown, drown, drown
Don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me drown
Don’t let me drown, drown, drown
Keep my head above water, above water

And I can’t see in the stormy weather
I can’t seem to keep it all together
And I, I can’t swim the ocean like this forever
And I can’t breathe

God, keep my head above water
I lose my breath at the bottom
Come rescue me, I’ll be waiting
I’m too young to fall asleep

God, keep my head above water
Don’t let me drown, it gets harder
I’ll meet you there at the altar
As I fall down to my knees

Don’t let me drown
Don’t let me drown (don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me drown)
Don’t let me drown (don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me drown)
Keep my head above water, above water

Only 1.99$ for the Kindle version for the 1st Book but always remember to check when hitting this button because prices change w/out notice!😉❤

My thoughts are just, WOWza, I am absolutely over the moon with Quinsey Wolfe’s Glass Vault and Bride of Glass by Candace Robinson. It’s been over weeks since I read these books but both full plots are still engraved in my brain thoroughly and the only bad thing about that, is that I want more! I read both of the stories within 2 days and there is so much great things that I can say about these books that I just don’t know where to begin!

That’s right, fuck yes! To say this series exceeded my expectations would be putting it mildly. The series first off had fantastic characters as well as secondary ones with plenty of depth in all of them. They all have such unique stories that brings them together in the craziest, most intense and even sweetest way possible. Perrie is a lovable herione and it’s fantastic seeing her grow and how incredibly strong she becomes in multiple ways throughout this story. For such a young age, she grows quickly beyond her years in life experience and she has a heart that can withstand any shards of glass thrown her way! *Pun intended* What also captivates your heart is the chivalry of August and the intensity of his many layers. You also have to love Perrie’s best friend/cousin with all her wierd cuteness! There are some big twists in this book that while I guessed a small part of it, there was plenty turns left to take me on the ride of a lifetime.

What also surprised me about these two novels was that the sequel was just as exciting and trust me when I say that when you finish the first, you won’t be able to stand waiting too long for the next! The worldbuilding is done amazingly and we are brought to a place that is way beyond your average fairytale retelling. In fact, calling these stories retellings do not do them justice because this is something dark, unique, twisted and fun all at the same time. I give both of these novels 5+++ Stars out of 5! I highly recommend reading these novels by Candace Robinson to anyone who loves something truly magical! A #MustRead!❤💙❤💙

Book Review:Strand of Faith

Comments 4 Standard

I want to give thanks to the great Rachel @ Rachel’s Random Resources and the author for allowing me to be part of this opportunity. I apologize about this late post. I am still facing some tragedies within my family one that hit honey really hard but still wanted to share about this awesome book. I hope to be hopping everyone’s way soon and miss you all!

Strand of Faith

When the choice is between love and life, how can anyone decide?

A girl and a monk, both with extraordinary mental powers, have compelling reasons not to fall in love. But those from whom they expect support are manipulating them both because their choices will have consequences for the rest of the world.

After a stormy youth, Brother Prospero has found comfort and fulfilment in the monastery. That is, until he discovers something that forces him to reconsider his whole vocation. To follow his heart, he’ll have to face his demons again, outside the security of the monastery. Is it worth the risk? Can he beat them this time? Or will they finally destroy him?

Orphaned and mistreated, Leonie has found sanctuary and safety at the abbey. All she wants is to learn how to manage her unusual abilities so that she is not a danger to those around her. When she comes into contact with Prospero everything threatens to spiral out of her control. Whether she leaves or whether she stays, how can she possibly avoid destroying – yet again – those she has come to care about?

Abbot Gabriel is faced with an impossible choice. He can do nothing and watch the world descend into war. Or he can manipulate events and ensure peace – at the cost of two lives that he is responsible for. He knows what he has to do but is he strong enough to sacrifice those he loves?

Review: This was all that I expected plus more!  I give this novel a 4.5 out of 5 stars! I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and how magical it was!  It was full of adventure with enjoyable characters. I am so glad I had a chance to be part of showing off this mustread for the genre! There were minute parts that I felt it was a little slow pace but it worked out wonderfully with depth and an all around unique synopsis.  Highly recommended!

Author Bio

Rachel J Bonner is the author of the four book Choices and Consequences series, the first of which, Strand of Faith, is due out in November 2018.

Getting a degree in engineering, followed by a career in accountancy is probably not a conventional path to becoming an author, particularly in paranormal romance. Rachel says that, although accountancy isn’t anything like as boring as everyone thinks, writing is a lot more fun. When not writing, she can be found walking in the beautiful countryside near where she lives, which has influenced much of the scenery in her books, or shooting things with her local archery club. Target shooting only, honest. Nothing to worry about.

She also enjoys swimming, eating chocolate chip cookies and growing aromatic herbs, especially thyme and rosemary. It’s no coincidence that her heroine likes the same things.

I would like to thank Rachel @ Rachel’s Random Resources and the author giving me an opportunity to be part of this tour. I am late to the show due to an unexpected tragedy with someone I didn’t get to know but loved but enough about me this book is what this post about!!! ❤❤❤

Redneck’s Revenge

Her next case. She’s in it for good.

Isabel Long is in a funk months after solving her first case. Her relationship with the Rooster Bar’s owner is over. Then the cops say she must work for a licensed P.I. before working solo.

Encouraged by her ‘Watson’ — her 92-year-old mother — Isabel snaps out of it by hooking up with a P.I. and finding a new case.

The official ruling is Chet Waters, an ornery so-and-so, was passed out when his house caught fire. His daughter, who inherited the junkyard, believes he was murdered. Topping the list of suspects are dangerous drug-dealing brothers, a rival junkyard owner, and an ex-husband.

Could the man’s death simply be a case of redneck’s revenge? Isabel is about to find out.

Okay it should not come off as too much as a surprise that I loved this novel! This book totally rocked my socks! I mean what’s not to love, rednecks, crime, adventure, a loveable heroine and the plot just weaves together perfectly.❤ Don’t y’all get any ideas that this South Carolinian Southern Belle just loves this because I do declare this is a slim pickin of a good read! I can’t wait to read more in the series! Recommended. ❤❤❤

Book Review:The Poppy Field by Deborah Carr @rararesources

Comments 22 Standard

I’m so sorry that this tour and others was late due to a tragedy I faced. I appreciate this opportunity and all views are my own.

The Poppy Field

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

Young nurse, Gemma, is struggling with the traumas she has witnessed through her job in the NHS. Needing to escape from it all, Gemma agrees to help renovate a rundown farmhouse in Doullens, France, a town near the Somme. There, in a boarded-up cupboard, wrapped in old newspapers, is a tin that reveals the secret letters and heartache of Alice Le Breton, a young volunteer nurse who worked in a casualty clearing station near the front line.

Set in the present day and during the horrifying years of the war, both woman discover deep down the strength and courage to carry on in even the most difficult of times. Through Alice’s words and her unfailing love for her sweetheart at the front, Gemma learns to truly live again.

This is a beautifully written epic historical novel that will take your breath away.

My thoughts on this book was it was beautifully written and the timelines wove together perfectly creating a magnificent read! I loved how the author released this novel at the time of the 100th year anniversary of WW1.❤ If you enjoy a fiction novel that has great characters, dialogue and interwoven timelines you will find this as a beautiful and bittersweet delight. The author did great a great job to portray moments that were realistic yet “the norm” during times of war and crisis but throughout this story you see strength and that is enough in itself! A great read that I needed because of the depth and it had the ability to make me feel alive during my own tragedy. ❤❤
