Review: For I Have Sinned by Darynda Jones (Charley Davidson 1.5)Β

Charley Davidson aka The Grim Reaper is awakened in the middle of the night by a dead woman that has no idea what has happened to her or who she is. Just another day for Charley Davidson as she forces herself out of bed to help this distressed woman, find out who she is and how she died.

I give this short novella 4.5 stars out of 5. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and got right to this novella. I enjoy reading novellas occasionally because you can get a good read in quickly. This book was that short and sweet. I felt that I could connect to this story because I in a way experienced having to make a choice to sacrifice my life for another if that’s how it turned out. My son’s father battles type 1 diabetes and I know the horrors and hardships that go along with it. Two weeks ago I was waiting for his status in ICU. But anyways this was a sweet story and was unexpected. The only thing that I didn’t know how I felt about that it was written from the dead lady’s point of view. But it was still great. A quick read that warmed my heart.

  1. I missed this one probably because it was a novella. But you made a great point as to the positives of reading them Dani. I love it when you personally connect to a story. It makes you feel less alone. Great review! I’m going to go look this up on Amazon.😊
