Found Things Series Books 1 & 2 by Paula Brackston

I would like to thank NetGalley, the author, and publishers for providing me an eARC in exchange for a review.

New York Times bestselling author Paula Brackston brings her trademark blend of magic and romance to her Found Things series, written in the tradition of Outlander. Xanthe Westlake has always been able to sense the stories that some antiques hold, but it isn’t until she’s finding stock for her and her mother’s new shop in the small English town of Marlborough that she finds one that allows her to travel back through the centuries to its time. Beginning with The Little Shop of Found Things, Xanthe learns more about herself and her abilities as she discovers more antiques she connects with and rights the wrongs in their pasts.

Wow, I absolutely loved reading these stories! From the very beginning I was flipping pages so quickly it was hard for my kindle to keep up. I loved how the main character, Xanthe, was able to see the history of an object by it ‘singing’ to her and the time traveling was a blast. Many people struggle going back and forth through different time periods but I had absolutely no difficulty going through the different time periods and know it would be easy for anyone to be enthralled without that difficulty. These stories both were just absolutely magical and a treasure that any book lover would love to get their hands on! I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a great page turner! I can’t wait to read the next book to come out in 2020!

The Next Book in the Series..

The Garden of Promises and Lies

PAULA BRACKSTON is the New York Times bestselling author of The Witch’s Daughter and The Little Shop of Found Things, among others. Before becoming a writer, she was a horse groom, a travel agent, a secretary, a teacher, and a goat herd. Everyone (particularly the goats) is relieved that she’s found a job she does properly. When not in her writer’s shed, Paula can be found being walked by the dog, hacking through weeds in her vegetable patch, or sitting by the pond with a glass of wine. She lives in Wales with her family.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! You guys have been missed. :/

Hey there my bloggy friends! I know it has been life forever since I posted!🤕 I know, I know I am quite ashamed that I have missed out on my bloggy hoppin’, posting reviews, and just being a regular part of the community. I miss the days of Blog more than you can imagine and wish I have been here but it’s been helluva ride this last year or so. It’s just one of those times (we all have them) when it’s not one thing it’s another or your mother.😉 Lately, I have been battling some serious illnesses that have K.O.d me, like really have thrown me on my ass, with the family concerns with financial matters to worry and depression and anxiety made it 10 times worse. Bah! But I am not here to whine about my woes and how life tore me a new one because in the end I am kind of glad of the experience.

It was all a weird strange of events and a huge amount of helplessness and falling on my face but in the end I am able to look back and see where I was blessed and one of the places that I have reaped the most blessings and have been able to surround myself with amazing people is here of all places! The World of Blog.❤🎁🎄 So I am thankful this holiday for the fact that I still have this blog and if all is willing that I give my blog another chance to thrive and be there more for my friends of the blogosphere.

I hope everyone is able to forgive me for my absences and my rambling on and allow me to take part of this great community again.😊 I have missed so much of you dearly. Kim, Pete, Fraggle, Michel, Kristen, Stephanie, Carrie, Trang & Lashaan, and so many more! You guys are diamonds and are greatly missed. Also my author friends such as Didi Oviatt, Annie Woods, Misty Mount, Brenda Drake, Angelina Kerner and many more! I know I need to be blog hopping your way and reviewing all of tour great books that I habe read and if you weren’t listed doesn’t make you any less special btw! If I had to name everyone it would be pages and pages long but point is that all of you have made a huge impact in my life and I plan on making things right by Touch My Spine Book Reviews with this upcoming New Year! Woot!

What matters most that I wish all of you a Happy Holiday and if you don’t celebrate the holidays I hope your upcoming year is even better than the last as Well! There is so much pain in this world and I hope no matter where you are in this obstacle we call life that you are able to make the best of what you have.❤🎁🎉

Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas!

Cheers to many more post and shenanigans to come!🥂🍾🍹

About the Author

Suzanne Seddon was born in 1968 in Islington, London. After leaving school she had many interesting jobs, from swimming teacher to air hostess, and was able to travel the globe. Now a single mum to her teenage daughter Poppy-willow, Suzanne spends her days writing and has written several articles for magazines and newspapers.

Growing up, Suzanne witnessed mental and physical abuse within her own family which strongly influenced her when she wrote her first play, A Fool’s Circle, when she attended the famous Anna Scher Theatre. Suzanne, however, was not content to leave it there and decided to go ahead and transform her play into a novel.

Not one to shy away from exciting challenges, she also wrote, acted, directed, cast and produced a trailer for the book around her hometown in Islington with the support of local businesses, who recognised the drive and importance of Suzanne and her work.

Suzanne is a passionate writer and she is determined to be heard so that the issue of domestic abuse is raised amongst the public’s consciousness, empowering others to speak out. She wants those who suffer at the hands of another to have their voices heard, loud and clear.
