Book Review: Homicide in Herne Hill (The London Murder Mysteries #4) by Alice Castle @rararesources
Homicide in Herne Hill Beth Haldane, SE21’s premier – and only – single mum amateur sleuth, is really pleased to find a new friend at the school gates, in the shape of irrepressibly bouncy Nina. As well as a way with words, Nina has a puzzle she wants Beth to solve, centred on the solicitor’s office where Nina works in Herne Hill. But as the mystery thickens, threatening to drag in not just Nina and her boss, but the yummy mummies of Dulwich, too, Beth is about to find out just how far some people will go to keep up appearances. Join Beth in this fourth instalment in the London Murder Mystery series for her toughest case yet. Thanks for reading my review guys! I’m sorry for the late post but it seems WordPress changed it’s whole format. I kept getting kicked off when I even try to blog hop.😒 Hopefully you guys are having better luck with the new WordPress 5.0 but it seems to have cool features maybe they will fix the glitches and it will be easier to use! Phew! I miss you all!😍🌸🌹😘
An area I know so well. I used to ride racing cycles at the old Herne Hill track, and my cousin lives in SE21, in Dulwich Village. My Mum lived off The Rye, for more than 25 years. So many connections for me, to South London. Delightful!
Best wishes, Pete. xx
Hi Pete, so glad you know the area! I know the velodrome of course and my next book is set on Peckham Rye 🙂 so many lovely people know south east London, don’t they? 🙂
I lived there, in Bermondsey and Rotherhithe, for much of my life. My Mum lived in Nunhead Green just off The Rye for a large part of her life. You might be interested in this post, with photos. 🙂 https://beetleypete.wordpress.com/2018/11/10/my-london-life/
Great post and I loved your photos. It’s a fascinating area which I am just getting to know. I now live not far from the Greenwich foot tunnel to the Isle of Dogs so have been exploring it a bit more 🙂
Thanks so much for this opportunity,Alice!😍👏 Yay! I’m so sorry it’s a late and for some reason I couldn’t my 5 star image up but am going to try and mess with the new WordPress setup again!😵 You rock! I love your books!😍🌸💙❤💛
