First off I want to thank Didi Oviatt for gifting me an eARC of Search for Maylee. Didi did not ask me for a review. I am reviewing this simply because I want to spread the word on how amazing this book was! I was first intrigued by Didi’s work by reading her blog and reading her book The Suspenseful Collection Volume 1 that she collaborated with Kim Knight. I was shocked by Didi’s work especially that she is relatively new to the literary world. Thank you so much for gifting me the Search for Maylee eARC Didi!!! Search for Maylee is available for pre-order on Amazon, Smashwords, IBOOKS, & Barnes & Noble!📚😍📱💖🖎📖 Summary: Autumn is still traumatized by the sudden disappearance of her niece Maylee. After 3 years Autumn has never lost hope that Maylee could still be alive even with the lead detective Chance says there is no more that can be done. Autumn has an intense bond with Maylee because she practically raised her instead of Maylee’s coldhearted and drug addicted mother. Autumn comes across a piece of evidence after all this time, a promising address that could be a lead to open this cold case wide open. Autumn packs up her loved beach side home left by her late husband and puts it for sale so she can move to Colorado to track down the lead. She has to settle with a small one bedroom and limited funds. Autumn knows the risks and the pain of leaving behind her job and loved ones but does what she needs to for Maylee. On the way out of town with her simple necessities she stops by to let Detective Chance know where she’s going and what she’s after. He wants to talk her out of it to save her but he knows more than he’s saying. Okay, first off I got to say WOW!!! I give this book 5+ stars out of 5! This is one of best books I have read if not the best. I really enjoy cold case stories and the process of how it’s solved. This book had me turning pages like crazy I finished it in less than 2 days!!! It would have been one day if I didn’t have technical difficulties with my kindle.😒 Search for Maylee made me smile😊, touched my heart😍, made the hairs on the back of my neck stick up😮 and made me cry😢. The author was so great at expressing Autumn’s emotions📝. I felt like I was living her emotions and feeling her anxiety. I felt Autumn’s love. There was romance, mystery and suspense in this book. The ending broke my heart in more ways than one. All I can say Didi keep the books coming, I would follow you anywhere!!!
