My Review of Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant

*Pic from my #Bookstagram

Hey there, what’s up my peoples??!!! I hope everyone is doing lovely this fine Friday! Getting laid, getting paid and having a good day!😎 That’s right, so I read this book and Holy Cow! Well you will see the review.😉 Chhhyeaaahh..

Blurby blurb:

Seven years ago, the Atargatis set off on a voyage to the Mariana Trench to film a “mockumentary” bringing to life ancient sea creatures of legend. It was lost at sea with all hands. Some have called it a hoax; others have called it a maritime tragedy.

Now, a new crew has been assembled. But this time they’re not out to entertain. Some seek to validate their life’s work. Some seek the greatest hunt of all. Some seek the truth. But for the ambitious young scientist Victoria Stewart this is a voyage to uncover the fate of the sister she lost.

Whatever the truth may be, it will only be found below the waves. But the secrets of the deep come with a price.

So this is where I break it down for you… This book was wild and horror filled! Say what??!! Like when I think of mermaids I’m thinking of Ariel chillin with Sebastian and Flounder and all that happy shizit. *sings “Under the Sea”*….Well squash that music you know your playing in your head because these mermaids are crazy asf! Well thanks to Mira Grant I will never look at mermaids the same.

See what I mean creepy as hell… This book was fun and I enjoyed the characters but things didn’t add up sometimes. The inconsistencies were a buzz kill at some moments but this was an ARC so you got to let some of that slide sometimes and go with the flow…😉 Well I definitely recommend this book though, I mean you get crazy ass mermaids and lack of sleep.

Do I think they found mermaids?

Yes. Of course I do.

And I think the mermaids ate them all.

I mean… Well shit… That text says it all. Nom Nom Nom… So I give this book 4 out of 5 chilling stars. I definitely recommend this book and think you horror junkies out there will love it. I mean, what is there not to love about killer mermaids???!!

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review! You guys rock!😄

    • How do I put this.. Well I guess I will straight out say the abbreviations and you can google it so it won’t be all over the internet in a way. I have this thing since I was young called D.I.D. It’s a very rare thing but has effected me so long so things might seem different at times. But back to your comment, I loved the confused.com Lmao😂😂😂

      • I googled and eventually got there, though was even more confused.com at first as D.I.D are an electric company in Ireland and there’s also a (quite good) band with those initials standing for Dog Is Dead. 😂 but all is clear now.

        • LMAO!😂😂😂 So sorry you had to go through all that craziness Fraggle to figure it out. In America as soon as you type it in it shows the diagnosis and everything about it. Damn, Dog is Dead?! What kind of name is that?! Lol. But yeah it’s something I am pretty ashamed of some didn’t want to spell it all out because you can’t trust everyone with that kind of info. They usually freak out or are really interested. I don’t mind interested but hate when people think I am possessed or something. It’s been a huge battle most of my life but am pretty use to it. I’m just thankful she didn’t post way worse. She has certainly got me in the drunk tank and arrested for public disorderly conduct enough!😰😰😰 But of course there is a band and electric company called that so you were probably like WTF??! Lol.😂😂😂

            • Some bands come up with the craziest names but I am all about creative expression!😊 Yeah it’s really scary sometimes. I’m not scared when it’s happening because I end up going bye bye for awhile. Unfortunately, I have been dealing with this since 7 years old so I am also use to it in a way. In another way, I still am bothered by it and am too scared to go in public because of it. I only leave the house for doctors appointments most of the time but so many people don’t understand and its been a wild for sure but if I ever seem different that is why. You can just usually ask them who it is and they most of the time will tell you about themselves but unfortunately evenly family can’t deal with it. I a

            • My comment pre ejaculated! Lol But I am always going to be ashamed by it even though I know it’s not my fault and caused by extreme abuse as a child but it’s just Looney tunes to say the least. Thanks so much for being understanding Fraggle! Your friendship means the world to me.

            • How about a band called The Anal Penetrators. That would be one P.I.A. band name but yes the condition is a pain in the ass as well. It’s why I have so many memory lapses and have no idea what’s going on but that also could because all the brain cells I killed with the amount of reefer I have smoked. Potato, Potat- toe!!

  4. Oh man, I was so bummed to not get this galley and then it was just on sale on Amazon for like $2, and now I’m really glad I snagged it. Killer mermaids sounds like just my kind of weird and freaky. Great review!
