I want to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. I appreciate this opportunity.

Synopsis: Katie Calumet takes a morning run and when she suddenly hears a baby crying out she starts to get nervous. She goes and investigates a van with a wailing baby because of fear for the child’s safety. When Katie gets closer she is hit on the head and is completely unconscious. Katie was trapped and now is kidnapped against her will. When Katie wakes up she has absolutely no idea where she’s been taken and where she could be.

While Katie is helplessly trying to escape her kidnappers, Investigator Justin Cross is taken through a large forest to try and locate Katie, even if its the last thing he will do to find her. With Katie’s family holding back secrets and Justin’s inability to sleep and outside family problems, the chance of finding Katie becomes scarce. There is only one question; can they find Katie before it’s too late?

Review: I give this book 5 out of 5 suspenseful stars! The story was split between the victim and the investigator’s POV and I loved that! This book had me up late turning pages and on the edge of my seat. I felt like I could feel the victim and the ivestigator’s emotions in this enthralling thriller. I loved the characterization and this book was very well written. I highly recommend checking out this suspenseful title. Bookouture never lets me down with their suspenseful titles and would recommend all of the books they publish! I loved how the author put this story together!!!
