Review: The Medical Examiner(Women’s Murder Club #16.5) by: James Patterson and Maxine Paetro

Claire Washburn, Chief Medical Examiner thinks it’s going to be a busy night at the morgue when two bodies show up at the morgue but she is even more surprised when only one of them is dead! Since Lindsay Boxer is away on a much needed vacation with her husband Joe, Rich Conklin takes on the case of millionaress that returns from the dead was found in a hotel left for dead with her lover(not her husband) dead on top of her. This book ends up being more surprising by the minute as Detective Conklin and the rest of the Women’s Murder Club try to find the murderer.

This book was more 3.5 out of 5 stars. I have enjoyed and read all of the Women’s Murder Club books and have enjoyed them thoroughly. I usually like reading these bookshots when I am looking for something quick to read. I felt this book had potentially to be a great story but because it was 100-150 pages long it lacked in sustenance. If you are reading all the Women’s Murder Club books it won’t hurt if you miss this these novellas in between. Can’t wait until the next adventure with the Women’s Murder Club!

Hello lovelies! I'm Danielle a.k.a Dani and I'm a huge Book Dragon! I say Dragon because I'm majestic asf not because my derriere is large;) I am a part of my local Friends of the Library where I get involved with reading communities, author signings, author interviews and book sales! I am obsessed with BOOKS! I am a proud bilbliophile and love reading so much because it is what saved my life! I was in a very dark place and stuck in bed because of my chronic illnesses until I started reading faithfully. Reading allows me to go on so many journeys when I am stuck where I'm at. Reading allows my free spirit to be free! I love everything about books from the way they smell and feel to the way they give me the ultimate escape from reality. I love to review books and get recommendations for future reads. I'm a member of NetGalley and review books on different platforms as well! I love meeting new people and finding the beauty in everything. I love all types of books from wet my pants humor (thanks motherhood), to I love you so much that I want to kiss your face romance novels, to the hairs sticking back of my neck suspense and even some books that might wet your panties in a more erotic fashion! I am a stay at home mom for the most part. I have some awesome kids whom I passed on the joy of reading. I love spending free time to volunteer at small struggling bookstores and donating books to the less fortunate. I have an associates degree in Psychology and starting on a degree in Literature in 2018. My goal and dream is to become a bilbliotherapist. So I can share the love of reading with those who are suffering physically or emotionally. I am also random, sarcastic and very open minded. There is no subject that is off limits for me and I promise to listen with an open mind! I hope you enjoy my blog and would love some recommendations and feedback! I am looking forward to meeting fellow book lovers, book molesters or anyone else who is interested! I blog about other things besides books occasionally as well. 1. I’ve given up for the most part on James Patterson. I loved his Alex Cross series, although I’ve stopped reading even those for the last few years. In my humble opinion, he’s decided to put quantity over quality. So many books with so many co-authors. It’s a little crazy! And I feel terrible for feeling like this because he seems like a genuinely nice guy who’s put a lot of his own money into literacy groups. *Sigh* Anyway, I love your review Ms Dani. Very fair and honest!😊

    1. I can understand where your coming from with reading his books I feel like its more of the co author’s work than his. I have noticed reading his earlier books in this series and others that things have changed quite a bit. I do enjoy the short chapters sometimes but I definiteley see where you are coming from Kim! I was definitley dissappointed compared to his earlier books😓 Thanks for the feedback sister!🤗

      1. Yes his early Alex Cross was the best I want to re-read those. I think James Patterson had the talent but he kind of sold out. I guess I feel like I want to see where the story ends though and it just keeps going and going. But I love Alex Cross’s character as well!
I hope you’re having a good day this weather has me feeling horrible but luckily didnt have to evacuate! So all that Walmart and gas station shit was for nothing. Smh…

      2. I actually caved and borrowed his newest book, The Store, on Overdrive. I’m purposely not reading any reviews, so we’ll see.

I’m glad you didn’t have to evacuate Dani. And I know how horrible the trip to Wal-Mart was, but at least nothing will go to waste. And, you got to write a hilarious post about it! I’m trying to be positive.😏

        Are you still enjoying Charley?
